WHO ARE GREEN PETS AMERICA CHARITIES?

We are an animal welfare nonprofit founded in 2007 in the Atlanta Georgia area of Woodstock, Georgia. We have been recognized by the State of Georgia and the City of Woodstock for rescuing and adopting local shelter pets and for helping families in financial need feed and care for their family pets.

Our primary focus is adopting black shelter dogs, the least adopted most killed of all shelter dogs in America.

We are an education, advocacy and black dog adoption nonprofit. We also educate the public on Black Dog Syndrome. Black dogs are the least adopted and most killed shelter dogs in America.

We published a groundbreaking animal welfare book “Rescue Renew Rehome” a practical guide to show how to develop no-kill full adoption animal shelters across America.

In 2017 we published THE ART OF THE BLACK DOG to bring national awareness to adopting black dogs and ending Black Dog Syndrome.

We advocated daily for Companion Animal Rights.

We then expanded to an animal shelter /death row rescue serving the State of Georgia. We are now advocates for black dogs the least adopted most killed shelter dogs in America.

HOW YOU CAN HELP THE GREEN PETS AMERICA MISSION

You can help Green Pets America save lives by spreading the word of our mission. Our ideal supporters are dog lovers, pet store owners and employees, dog groomers, vets and vet office staff.

We can always use help in marketing, community events, fundraising and social media. Also, we need foster parents to foster a rescue dog for an extended time period.

All volunteers must be over 18 and work under their own supervision from their office or home.
